All cities we've seen during this trip have been quite ugly trash towns, Bahia de LA being no exception. But the landscapes are not all that ugly . . .

Whalewatching near Guerrero Negro

We finally got to Guerrero Negro and went to a whale watching trip in a little boat with 9 other people to Ojo De Liebre - a bay where the soccermom whales play with their calves (daddy whales stay a little further out at the inlet to the bay).  Very cool.  The whales come next to the boats and appear to be playing with us innocent humans.  The picture shows how close the whales get.  Contrary what people tell you the whales are not sweet or majestic or any of that crap.  They are coyote ugly - really disgusting looking creeps.  But fun to watch.

San Felipe oli täysin hanurista - Joe Sixpack tulee sinne akkansa ja kakaroiden kanssa ajamaan mönkiäisillä pitkin rantaa ja hiekkaduuneja.  Ja seuraavat 60 kilsaa sieltä etelään on samaa rumbaa - mönkiäisjengi juhlii.  Mutta sitten tie muuttuu soratieksi ja puhelintolpat loppuvat ja raiskaamaton Baja Californian rannikko alkaa.  Tässä kuva...

Sea of Cortez

Just arrived in San Felipe. The road from Ensenada to here is almost spectacular, over 3,000 feet high meadows and agricultural fields.

Shithole of a town.

San Felipe sucks. Joe Sixpack with his motorbikes and ATVs clearly love the place - they are even willing to rev up their engines next to people eating their dinners. . . Onwards Christian Soldiers, to south on a (hopefully) dirt road . . .

It's not that we only eat, but it's an opportunity to fine the camera, or in this case the phone. We're now off to San Felipe.
